Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Reciprocating saw blades generally do not have a universal marine product certification. Applicable requirements are normally the manufacturer's dimensional, material, and tool-compatibility specifications. Safety use should follow the applicable power-tool manufacturer's instructions and workplace regulations.
Class Approval Normally not subject to separate DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV, or ClassNK type approval. Classification requirements may apply to the work process or installed equipment, but not usually to ordinary replacement saw blades.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Disconnect or lock out the saw before fitting the blade. Insert the blade fully into the tool holder, confirm the locking mechanism is engaged, and verify that the blade direction and length are suitable for the saw and material. Use the correct blade type and tooth pitch.
Maintenance Tips Keep blades clean, dry, and protected from impact or corrosion. Inspect teeth, welds, and the shank before use. Replace blades that are cracked, bent, excessively worn, overheated, or showing missing teeth. Store different blade types separately.
Safety Notes Wear eye protection, gloves suitable for the task, hearing protection, and protective footwear. Secure the workpiece, maintain a firm grip, and keep hands clear of the cutting path. Control sparks near flammable materials and follow shipboard hot-work and permit procedures where applicable.
