Butterfly Valve Seats - Pumps, Valves, Piping and Fittings

Replacement elastomeric or polymer seats fitted in concentric, double-eccentric, or triple-offset butterfly valves used in marine seawater, ballast, bilge, fire-main, cooling-water, and general service piping. Seat selection depends on valve design, fluid, temperature, pressure, and shaft-disc compatibility.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Butterfly Valve Seats for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Valve assemblies may be designed and tested to EN 593, API 609, ISO 5208, ISO 5752, or EN 558. Elastomer compound selection may reference ASTM D2000 or equivalent manufacturer specifications. Certification depends on the complete valve assembly, not the seat alone.
Class Approval Marine-approved butterfly valve assemblies may be type-approved or accepted by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK. Approval is manufacturer-, valve-series-, size-, and service-specific; replacement seats should be original or approved equivalents.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify valve manufacturer, series, nominal size, pressure class, seat design, material, and temperature range before ordering. Isolate, depressurize, drain, and lock out the line. Clean the body and disc, lubricate only with a seat-compatible lubricant, and perform leak and operational tests after installation.
Maintenance Tips Inspect seats during scheduled valve overhauls for cuts, hardening, swelling, extrusion, permanent deformation, and leakage. Keep compatible spare seats in a cool, dry, dark location away from ozone, oil, solvents, and direct sunlight. Replace damaged seats rather than machining elastomeric sealing surfaces.
Safety Notes Confirm the line is fully isolated, depressurized, drained, and safe before dismantling the valve. Use the correct material for the fluid, temperature, pressure, and fire-safety requirements. Do not use an elastomer seat outside its chemical or temperature limits, and follow the valve manufacturer's torque and assembly instructions.
