Diaphragm Valves - Pumps, Valves, Piping and Fittings

Diaphragm valves provide tight shutoff and fluid isolation in marine piping systems, especially where corrosion resistance, contamination control, or handling of aggressive fluids is required. They are operated manually, pneumatically, or by actuator depending on system design.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Diaphragm Valves for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Industrial diaphragm valves may be manufactured and tested to MSS SP-88 and EN 13397. Pressure testing may be specified to ISO 5208 or the applicable manufacturer standard. Material, pressure class, end connection, and certification must be confirmed from the product datasheet.
Class Approval Diaphragm valves do not have one universal marine class approval. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV, and ClassNK acceptance depends on the valve design, service, materials, pressure rating, and vessel system. Confirm type approval or project approval before procurement.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify flow direction, pressure rating, temperature range, diaphragm compatibility, and end connection before installation. Install with the correct gasket and avoid excessive pipe loads or misalignment. Operate within the manufacturer's specified limits.
Maintenance Tips Inspect the diaphragm, body, bonnet, actuator, and connections for leakage, corrosion, and wear. Exercise manually operated valves periodically. Replace diaphragms and seals at the manufacturer's recommended interval or when deterioration is detected.
Safety Notes Isolate, depressurize, drain, and flush the line before servicing. Confirm the fluid hazard and wear suitable PPE. Do not loosen the bonnet or remove the diaphragm while the valve is pressurized. Use only compatible replacement parts.
