Globe Valve Discs - Pumps, Valves, Piping and Fittings

Globe valve discs are replaceable internal trim components that regulate or shut off fluid flow in marine seawater, cooling-water, fuel-oil, steam, ballast and fire-main systems. Correct disc geometry, material and seating surface must match the valve manufacturer and pressure class.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Globe Valve Discs for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable valve standards may include ASME B16.34, API 623, EN 13709 and ISO 5208. Material certification may be supplied to ASTM/ASME specifications. The applicable standard depends on valve design, service and purchasing requirements.
Class Approval Marine globe valves and replacement trim may be accepted by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK when supplied as part of an approved valve assembly or project-specific class requirement. Approval status must be verified for the exact valve and service.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify valve manufacturer, model, nominal size, pressure class, disc material, seat angle and stem connection before installation. Isolate, drain and depressurize the line. Clean the seat and bonnet cavity, install the disc in the correct orientation, and perform leak and operational tests.
Maintenance Tips Inspect the disc and seat for erosion, corrosion, scoring and wire drawing during overhaul. Replace damaged seating surfaces and renew gaskets where required. Operate the valve periodically and record dimensions and material identification for future spares procurement.
Safety Notes Do not remove the bonnet or disc while the line is pressurized or hot. Confirm isolation, locking and zero pressure before work. Use compatible materials for the fluid and temperature, and conduct pressure testing in accordance with the vessel's safety procedures.
