Globe Valves - Pumps, Valves, Piping and Fittings

Marine globe valves are linear-motion shut-off and throttling valves used in shipboard piping systems. They control fluids such as seawater, freshwater, fuel oil, lubricating oil, steam, condensate and compressed air.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Globe Valves for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Common design and dimensional references include EN 13709, ASME B16.34, API 623, API 602 for applicable forged valves, EN 1092-1, ASME B16.5 and JIS flange standards. Material, pressure testing and marking requirements depend on the selected design standard.
Class Approval DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and ClassNK may approve or accept marine globe valves when the specific valve, material, service and installation are covered by applicable type approval or project certification.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify valve size, pressure class, material, trim, flow direction and service compatibility before installation. Align pipe flanges correctly, use the specified gasket and tighten bolts evenly. Do not use the valve to correct pipe misalignment, and support actuators or gear operators independently.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for leakage, corrosion, packing deterioration and handwheel or actuator damage. Operate periodically where permitted, lubricate stems according to the manufacturer instructions and retighten or replace packing only under safe, depressurized conditions. Test isolation performance during planned maintenance.
Safety Notes Confirm the line is isolated, depressurized, drained and cooled before dismantling. Use suitable PPE and follow shipboard lockout/tagout procedures. Do not exceed the valve pressure-temperature rating or use a globe valve for a service incompatible with its body, trim or seat materials.
