Solenoid Valves - Pumps, Valves, Piping and Fittings

Marine solenoid valves are electrically actuated on/off valves used to control fluids such as seawater, fresh water, fuel, oil, air, and hydraulic media. They are commonly installed in pump control, ballast, bilge, cooling, fuel, pneumatic, and piping systems.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Solenoid Valves for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include IEC 60092 for electrical installations in ships, IEC 60533 for electromagnetic compatibility, IEC 60529 for enclosure protection, ISO 228-1 or ISO 7-1 for threaded connections, and ASME B1.20.1 for NPT threads. Certification is configuration-specific.
Class Approval Marine-approved versions may be available subject to model, coil, enclosure, installation, and application. Relevant classification societies can include DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK. Approval must be verified from the manufacturer's certificate for the exact assembly.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm valve material, pressure rating, flow direction, media compatibility, temperature range, port size, coil voltage, and required fail position. Install with the flow arrow correctly oriented, protect against pipe debris, and provide suitable electrical protection and enclosure rating.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for leakage, corrosion, blocked strainers, loose wiring, abnormal coil heating, and slow operation. Clean the valve and pilot orifice as recommended by the manufacturer, and replace damaged seals, coils, or connectors with approved parts.
Safety Notes Isolate and depressurize the line before removal. Disconnect electrical power before servicing and verify the coil voltage before energizing. Use materials suitable for the conveyed fluid, especially fuel, oil, chemicals, and seawater. Do not exceed rated pressure, temperature, or duty cycle.
