Coagulants - Hose Couplings and Petroleum Products

Marine hose couplings connect flexible hoses used for fuel oil, diesel, lubricating oil and other petroleum-product transfer on ships and terminals. The term "coagulants" is not normally associated with marine hose couplings and petroleum products.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Coagulants for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Relevant standards may include EN 14420-7 for hose assemblies with cam-and-groove couplings and EN 1765 for rubber hose assemblies for oil suction and discharge. Product-specific pressure, material and testing requirements must be confirmed from the manufacturer.
Class Approval Classification approval is application- and project-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and ClassNK may approve associated hose assemblies or transfer systems when required; individual couplings are not universally class-approved.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select coupling size, pressure rating, material and seal according to the hose, petroleum product, temperature and transfer pressure. Follow the manufacturer's assembly procedure, torque requirements and any bonding or grounding instructions. Inspect threads, cam arms, gaskets and locking devices before connection.
Maintenance Tips Inspect regularly for corrosion, deformation, leakage, worn seals and damaged locking mechanisms. Clean after service with an approved method, lubricate moving parts where specified, replace damaged gaskets, and pressure-test hose assemblies at the required intervals.
Safety Notes Depressurize and drain the hose before disconnecting. Confirm product compatibility and eliminate ignition sources. Use bonding or grounding where required to control static electricity. Wear suitable PPE and follow the vessel's bunkering, spill-control and hazardous-area procedures.
