Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include FDA 21 CFR 177.2600, EC 1935/2004, EU 10/2011, EN 1765 for oil suction and discharge hoses, EN 14420-7 for cam-and-groove couplings, and OCIMF GMPHOM requirements where applicable to marine transfer hoses.
Class Approval Class approval is application- and assembly-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK may accept or approve marine hose assemblies when required by vessel notation, cargo system, or transfer operation. Manufacturer documentation and certificates must be verified.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm media compatibility, nominal bore, pressure, temperature, bend radius, and coupling type before installation. Use correctly rated clamps or ferrules, avoid twisting and sharp bends, and pressure-test the complete assembly before service.
Maintenance Tips Inspect regularly for cuts, abrasion, blistering, leakage, coupling damage, and liner deterioration. Keep hoses capped and clean, prevent kinking, and replace assemblies at the manufacturer's recommended interval or after failed inspection.
Safety Notes Depressurize, drain, and isolate the line before disconnecting. Use bonding or grounding where static electricity may occur, especially during petroleum transfer. Never exceed the lowest pressure or temperature rating of the hose, coupling, or connected equipment.
