Hose Hangers - Hose Couplings and Petroleum Products

Marine hose hangers support, suspend, and secure flexible hoses used for fuel oil, diesel, lubricating oil, chemicals, ballast, and cargo transfer. They help prevent excessive bending, abrasion, coupling loads, and damage during shipboard operation.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Hose Hangers for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Hose assemblies and couplings may be selected to applicable ISO 1825, EN 1765, EN 13765, or API 1529 requirements depending on service. Hangers themselves are generally specified by material, load capacity, hose diameter, and corrosion protection rather than by a single universal standard.
Class Approval Where required for cargo, bunker, or fuel-transfer service, the complete hose assembly and coupling arrangement may require approval or acceptance by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK. Approval depends on service, design, testing, and vessel requirements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select the hanger for the hose outside diameter, weight, operating temperature, and expected dynamic loads. Support the hose near couplings and at suitable intervals without crushing or sharply bending it. Keep the hanger clear of moving equipment and provide corrosion-resistant fasteners.
Maintenance Tips Inspect regularly for corrosion, deformation, loose fasteners, sharp edges, and hose abrasion. Check that supports are not overloading couplings or restricting hose movement. Replace damaged hangers and inspect the hose assembly after unusual loading or impact.
Safety Notes Confirm hose compatibility with petroleum products, pressure, temperature, and electrical-bonding requirements. Depressurize, drain, and isolate the hose before handling. Do not use hangers as lifting points unless specifically rated, and maintain safe separation from ignition sources and hot surfaces.
