Hose Clamps - Hose Couplings and Petroleum Products

Marine hose clamps secure flexible hoses to hose tails, couplings, and petroleum-transfer fittings on ships, terminals, and shipyards. Selection depends on hose construction, pressure, temperature, fluid compatibility, and required corrosion resistance.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Hose Clamps for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification EN 14420-3 covers hose assemblies with clamp-type couplings. EN 13414 is relevant to certain hose assemblies and EN 1765 applies to rubber hose assemblies for petroleum products. Certification and pressure ratings must be confirmed for the complete hose assembly.
Class Approval Classification approval is normally assigned to the complete marine hose assembly or transfer system rather than to a standalone clamp. Where required, verify acceptance with DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK for the vessel and service.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select a clamp range that fits the measured outside diameter of the hose and coupling. Position clamps behind the hose bead or coupling shoulder, tighten evenly, and avoid cutting or deforming the hose. Use two clamps where specified by the hose or coupling manufacturer.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for corrosion, looseness, thread damage, band cracking, and hose extrusion. Recheck tightness after initial service and during planned maintenance. Replace clamps showing distortion or corrosion and never reuse damaged clamps.
Safety Notes Confirm chemical compatibility, working pressure, temperature, and electrical bonding requirements for petroleum service. Depressurize, drain, and gas-free the hose before maintenance. Do not use worm-drive clamps for applications requiring a certified high-pressure coupling unless approved by the hose manufacturer.
