Class Approval Approval requirements depend on vessel type, flag administration, and the blanket's intended use. Where required, documentation may be reviewed or accepted by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes No permanent installation is normally required. Issue blankets in clean, dry condition and store them in ventilated accommodation or linen lockers away from heat, oil, chemicals, and moisture.
Maintenance Tips Follow the manufacturer's washing and drying instructions. Inspect regularly for tears, excessive wear, contamination, or loss of fire-retardant performance. Replace damaged or heavily soiled blankets.
Safety Notes Use only products approved or specified for the vessel where fire-retardant bedding is required. Do not expose blankets to open flame, hot surfaces, solvents, or oil. Do not alter, repair, or chemically treat fire-retardant blankets without manufacturer guidance.
