Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements commonly include CE marking, the EU Machinery Directive or Machinery Regulation as applicable, EN 1974 for food processing slicing machines, and relevant electrical safety and food-contact hygiene requirements. Verify the exact edition and manufacturer declaration.
Class Approval Dedicated classification approval is not normally provided for galley food slicers. Installation on classed vessels may be subject to the vessel's electrical, fire, hygiene and equipment requirements under DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK rules.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Install on a stable, level work surface with adequate clearance for the carriage, blade guard and cleaning access. Provide the manufacturer's specified electrical supply, protective earthing and local isolation. Secure equipment against movement where required by vessel motion and galley design.
Maintenance Tips Clean and sanitize food-contact surfaces after use according to the manufacturer's instructions. Isolate power before cleaning or servicing. Inspect blade guards, carriage components, interlocks and power cables, and sharpen or replace the blade when cutting performance declines.
Safety Notes Keep hands away from the rotating blade and use the product pusher and hand guard. Do not operate with guards or interlocks removed. Disconnect and isolate electrical power before cleaning, blade removal or maintenance. Only trained galley personnel should operate the slicer.
