Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Injectors must comply with the engine manufacturer's approved design and applicable IMO MARPOL Annex VI/NOx Technical Code requirements. Fuel suitability is generally referenced to ISO 8217. Material, testing, traceability, and documentation requirements depend on the OEM and vessel class rules.
Class Approval Accepted as part of the approved engine design by societies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and ClassNK. Certification requirements vary by vessel class, engine type and whether parts are OEM, licensed, reconditioned or alternative replacements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm the exact engine type, cylinder designation, nozzle specification and OEM part number. Clean the seating bore, renew specified seals, use calibrated tools, and apply OEM tightening torque and leak-test procedures.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for nozzle fouling, leakage, needle sticking, erosion and poor spray pattern. Test opening pressure and atomization at OEM intervals, replace seals, and use clean, correctly treated fuel.
Safety Notes Depressurize and isolate the fuel system before removal. High-pressure fuel can penetrate skin and hot fuel can cause burns. Wear suitable PPE and never check injector leakage by hand while the engine is operating.
