High Pressure Fuel Piping - Main Engine and Propulsion

Double-walled steel piping that carries pressurized fuel from injection pumps, booster units, or common rails to main-engine fuel injectors. The outer jacket contains leakage and routes it to a monitored collection or alarm system.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply High Pressure Fuel Piping for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements include IMO SOLAS Chapter II-2, Regulation 4.2.2.5 for oil-fuel piping protection, ISO 8535 for steel tubes used in high-pressure fuel injection pipes, engine OEM specifications, and the vessel classification society's machinery rules.
Class Approval Compliance is normally verified within engine type approval and vessel classification by societies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and ClassNK. Individual replacement pipes should match the approved OEM design, material, dimensions and pressure rating.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Use the exact OEM pipe for the engine type and cylinder position. Keep sealing faces clean, align without forcing or cold bending, fit approved clamps and jacket drains, and tighten connections to the specified torque. Perform required pressure and leak tests before service.
Maintenance Tips Inspect regularly for fuel leakage, corrosion, fretting, cracked clamps, damaged jackets and blocked leak drains. Verify leak alarms and replace distorted, cracked or repeatedly leaking pipes; do not weld or locally repair high-pressure injection pipes unless expressly approved by the OEM and class.
Safety Notes Isolate fuel pumps, stop the engine and fully depressurize before work. High-pressure fuel can penetrate skin and atomized fuel can ignite on hot surfaces. Never check leaks by hand; use suitable detection methods, eye protection and gloves, and clean spills immediately.
