Cutting Hoses - Welding and Fabrication

Marine cutting hoses are flexible gas hoses used to supply oxygen and fuel gases to oxy-fuel cutting, welding, and heating equipment. They are commonly supplied as single hoses or bonded twin-hose assemblies with color-coded gas identification.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Cutting Hoses for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification ISO 3821 for rubber hoses for welding, cutting, and allied processes; EN 559 may apply to older or region-specific welding hose specifications. Hose service, gas compatibility, pressure rating, and connection requirements must match the manufacturer documentation.
Class Approval Generic cutting hoses are not normally class-approved individually. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK requirements may apply to the complete gas-welding installation, hose assemblies, or shipboard hot-work equipment where specified by the vessel's class rules.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Use only hose rated for the specific gas and pressure. Fit compatible, correctly identified connectors and secure hose clamps or crimp sleeves. Keep oxygen hoses free from oil and grease, route away from sharp edges and hot surfaces, and test for leaks before service.
Maintenance Tips Inspect regularly for cuts, abrasion, cracking, burns, bulges, contamination, and damaged fittings. Leak-test with an approved solution, keep hoses capped when disconnected, and replace hoses that are damaged, contaminated, or beyond the manufacturer's service-life guidance.
Safety Notes Follow the vessel hot-work permit and gas-cylinder procedures. Never use oxygen equipment with oil or grease. Do not interchange oxygen and fuel-gas hoses or fittings, exceed the rated pressure, kink the hose, or use a hose that has been exposed to flashback or severe heat.
