Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Complete refrigerated containers commonly conform to ISO 1496-2 and the International Convention for Safe Containers (CSC). Refrigeration-system safety is addressed by ISO 5149 or applicable regional rules. The replacement condenser must match the reefer OEM specification.
Class Approval Reefer condenser coils are generally not individually class-approved. Vessel electrical supply and reefer installations may be surveyed under DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK rules, depending on the vessel.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify reefer model, serial number, refrigerant, coil connections, dimensions, and pressure rating. Recover refrigerant, isolate power, braze using nitrogen purge where specified, pressure-test, evacuate, recharge, and confirm condenser fan airflow.
Maintenance Tips Remove salt, dirt, and debris with low-pressure fresh water and approved coil cleaner. Inspect fins, tubing, joints, frame, and fan operation for corrosion, damage, leakage, or restricted airflow. Straighten fins carefully and maintain service records.
Safety Notes Apply lockout/tagout and recover refrigerant with approved equipment. Wear eye, hand, and face protection. Do not vent refrigerant or open a pressurized circuit. Pressure testing, brazing, evacuation, and charging must be performed by qualified refrigeration personnel.
