Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification The completed reefer container is generally designed and tested under ISO 1496-2 and dimensioned under ISO 668. CSC requirements apply to container safety approval. Door seals are normally OEM-profile components rather than separately certified items.
Class Approval Door seals are not normally class-approved as standalone spare parts. The complete container or approved repair may be inspected or certified by bodies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK when contractually required.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm the container manufacturer, serial number, door handing and gasket cross-section before ordering. Remove the old seal, clean and inspect the retainer, fit without stretching, seal or join corners as specified, and verify uniform compression with the doors locked.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for cuts, hardening, flattening, loose retainers and damaged corner joints. Clean with mild detergent, keep drainage areas clear and replace the gasket if light, moisture or air leakage is detected.
Safety Notes Isolate the reefer unit before work near powered equipment. Secure heavy doors against movement, use suitable gloves and ventilation for adhesives, and do not enter a closed container without following confined-space and atmosphere-check procedures.
