Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification EEBD systems are subject to SOLAS Chapter II-2 and IMO requirements, including MSC.1/Circ.849 where applicable. Cylinders may additionally comply with applicable pressure-vessel and breathing-air requirements such as EN 12245, ISO 9809 and EN 12021, depending on design and flag-state acceptance.
Class Approval Approval is specific to the complete EEBD system and manufacturer configuration rather than a universal cylinder type. Marine approvals may involve DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK, subject to the product certificate and vessel requirements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Install only the cylinder specified for the exact EEBD model. Confirm pressure, valve thread, seal condition, filling date and approval markings. Fit using approved procedures and conduct a leak and functional check after installation.
Maintenance Tips Store secured, dry and protected from heat, oil and corrosive chemicals. Check pressure, damage, corrosion, seals and expiry or test dates during scheduled inspections. Refill and hydrostatically test only through an authorized service facility.
Safety Notes Treat the cylinder as a high-pressure vessel. Use only certified breathing air, never oxygen or industrial compressed air. Do not modify valves or fittings. Prevent impact, heating and contamination, and follow the maker's instructions and flag-state requirements.
