Marine use should also comply with applicable SOLAS, IMO FSS Code and flag-state requirements; MED Wheelmark approval may apply where required.

Marine firefighter outfits or personal protective equipment may carry MED approval or certification accepted by flag administration and classification societies such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV or ClassNK, depending on the product and vessel requirements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select the correct size and confirm compatibility with the approved firefighter suit, jacket cuffs and breathing-apparatus procedures. Inspect fit, closure and cuff overlap before use. Do not use gloves with damaged seams, liners or thermal barriers.
Maintenance Tips Clean according to the manufacturer's instructions after exposure to smoke, salt water, chemicals or fuel. Dry naturally away from direct heat and sunlight. Inspect stitching, palm reinforcement, liner and moisture barrier after every use. Replace gloves showing burns, hardening, contamination or structural damage.
Safety Notes Use only gloves certified for firefighting and rated for the expected hazards. Gloves are not cut-proof, chemical-proof or electrically insulating unless specifically certified. Never use wet, contaminated or damaged gloves, and do not expose them to temperatures beyond the manufacturer's rating.
