Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include ISO 12100 for machinery risk assessment and safety design. Powered versions may also require EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment of machines. Applicable standards depend on the manufacturer, configuration, and operating jurisdiction.
Class Approval Classification society approval is not normally required for a general shipyard transport trolley. Project-specific acceptance, inspection, or certification may be required by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK when specified by the shipyard or owner.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Position the trolley on a level, load-rated travel route. Verify wheel, bogie, frame, and securing arrangements before loading. Keep the center of gravity within the designed support area and follow the manufacturer's rated capacity and towing limits.
Maintenance Tips Inspect the frame, welds, wheels, axles, bearings, brakes, towing points, and securing devices before use. Lubricate bearings and pivots as specified. Remove corrosion and repair structural damage before returning the trolley to service.
Safety Notes Never exceed the rated safe working load. Secure the load against shifting and keep personnel clear during movement. Use designated towing equipment, control speed on slopes, apply wheel chocks when parked, and permit operation only by trained personnel.
