Hydraulic Pulling Equipment - Shipyard and Dry Dock Equipment

Hydraulic pulling equipment uses controlled hydraulic force to remove bearings, couplings, gears, propellers, sleeves, and other interference-fit components during ship repair, overhaul, and shipyard maintenance. Equipment includes hydraulic pullers, puller sets, pumps, cylinders, jaws, and accessories.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Hydraulic Pulling Equipment for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Hydraulic systems should comply with ISO 4413 for hydraulic fluid power safety. Applicable lifting and tooling requirements may include ASME B30.1. Manufacturer declarations such as CE marking may apply depending on the equipment and supply jurisdiction.
Class Approval Hydraulic pullers are generally maintenance tools rather than class-approved permanent ship systems. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK may accept their use when manufacturer documentation, rated capacity, inspection records, and shipyard procedures are available.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select the puller, jaws, cylinder, pump, and accessories for the component geometry and required force. Secure the puller concentrically, ensure full jaw engagement, support the load, and use calibrated hoses and fittings. Follow the manufacturer torque, pressure, and stroke limits.
Maintenance Tips Inspect jaws, pins, cylinders, hoses, couplings, and threads before use. Check for hydraulic leaks, keep components clean, protect exposed threads, use the specified hydraulic oil, and store equipment depressurized in a dry location. Periodically inspect and calibrate pumps and pressure gauges.
Safety Notes Never exceed the rated pulling capacity or operating pressure. Use guards or barriers against sudden component release, keep personnel out of the line of fire, and never heat a pressurized or loaded puller. Wear eye, hand, and foot protection and depressurize the system before disconnecting hoses.
