Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Commonly designed and supplied to EN 280, ISO 16368, ANSI/SAIA A92.6 or ANSI A92.20 requirements, depending on model and market. Electrical equipment may additionally require applicable IEC or local regulations.
Class Approval Scissor lifts are generally not class-approved as ship machinery. Use in shipyards or onboard vessels may require acceptance by the responsible classification society, flag administration, or facility safety authority. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV, and ClassNK requirements may apply to specific projects.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Position on a firm, level, load-rated surface and follow the manufacturer's ground-clearance, slope, wind, and load limits. Complete pre-use inspection, deploy outriggers or pothole protection where fitted, and use only trained operators. Secure equipment against movement when used near quay edges or ship structures.
Maintenance Tips Inspect platform structure, guardrails, wheels, batteries, hydraulic systems, controls, emergency lowering system, alarms, and safety interlocks before use. Maintain batteries and hydraulic fluids according to the manufacturer schedule. Record inspections, servicing, defects, and annual examinations.
Safety Notes Do not exceed rated platform capacity or use the lift as a crane. Prohibit unauthorized modification, driving while elevated unless permitted, and operation in excessive wind or near energized equipment. Use required fall protection, maintain clearance from overhead hazards, isolate the equipment before servicing, and follow shipyard permit-to-work procedures.
