Hydraulic Hoses - Shipyard and Dry Dock Equipment

Hydraulic hoses for marine shipyard and dry dock equipment convey pressurized hydraulic fluid to cranes, lifts, winches, steering systems, jacking equipment, and mobile machinery. They are selected by pressure rating, bore size, fluid compatibility, temperature, flexibility, and hose-end configuration.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Hydraulic Hoses for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Common standards include EN 853 for 1SN and 2SN hoses, EN 856 for 4SP and 4SH hoses, SAE J517, and ISO 18752 where applicable. Hose assemblies should also comply with the manufacturer's assembly and pressure-test requirements.
Class Approval Classification approval is application- and project-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK may accept hydraulic hose assemblies when required by the vessel or equipment specification; approval should be verified for the complete assembly.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select hose by working pressure, pressure impulse rating, temperature, fluid compatibility, bore, bend radius, and fitting type. Route without twisting or sharp bends, provide adequate slack for movement, support long runs, and use compatible crimp fittings installed with the manufacturer's tooling.
Maintenance Tips Inspect regularly for abrasion, cuts, leaks, blistering, corrosion, damaged covers, and fitting movement. Check clamps and routing, keep hoses clean, and replace any hose showing damage or exceeding the manufacturer's service-life guidance. Depressurize the system before removal.
Safety Notes Never inspect leaks with bare hands because hydraulic injection injuries can occur. Isolate, lock out, and depressurize the system before maintenance. Use hose assemblies rated for the maximum system pressure and temperature, and do not exceed the manufacturer's minimum bend radius.
