Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Commonly manufactured and tested to EN 13157 and ASME B30.21, with applicable lifting-chain requirements such as EN 818-7. Exact compliance depends on the manufacturer and model.
Class Approval Lever hoists are not normally class-approved as standard equipment. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK inspection or certification may be required when specified by the vessel owner, project, or lifting plan.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Inspect the hoist, hooks, chain, brake, and identification plate before use. Connect only to a certified support point with adequate safe working load. Ensure the chain is correctly seated and keep the load within the rated capacity.
Maintenance Tips Keep the load chain clean, lubricated, and free from corrosion. Inspect hooks, latches, brake operation, gears, chain elongation, and damaged links at scheduled intervals. Remove defective hoists from service and follow the manufacturer's inspection intervals.
Safety Notes Never exceed the rated capacity, shock-load the hoist, side-load hooks, or use it to lift personnel. Keep personnel clear of suspended loads. Use appropriate PPE and ensure operators are trained in lifting and rigging procedures.
