Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include CE or UKCA machinery conformity, EN 60204-1 for electrical equipment of machinery, EN 1248 for safety requirements on abrasive blasting equipment, ISO 8504-2 for abrasive blast-cleaning methods, and applicable OSHA or local workplace regulations.
Class Approval Blasting cabinets are generally workshop machines and are not normally subject to individual DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV, or ClassNK type approval. The shipyard or vessel operator may require equipment to meet applicable class, port, electrical, and workplace safety requirements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Install on a level, stable workshop floor with adequate clearance for doors, service access, abrasive loading, and component handling. Connect correctly sized compressed-air supply, grounded electrical supply where applicable, and a suitable dust-extraction system. Verify airflow and exhaust routing before operation.
Maintenance Tips Inspect gloves, viewing window, cabinet seals, blast nozzle, hoses, valves, filters, and abrasive recovery components regularly. Remove accumulated abrasive and dust, replace worn liners and filters, drain compressed-air moisture, and check extraction airflow and grounding.
Safety Notes Use only approved abrasive media and operate with cabinet doors closed. Wear required respiratory, eye, hearing, and protective equipment during loading and maintenance. Isolate compressed air and electrical power before servicing, control combustible dust, and follow the abrasive manufacturer's safety data sheet.
