Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include EN 280 or ISO 16368 for mobile elevating work platforms, ANSI/SAIA A92 in North America, and relevant national occupational safety regulations. Certification depends on machine type, market, and date of manufacture.
Class Approval These machines are generally shipyard equipment and are not normally class-approved as ship machinery. Acceptance may require inspection by the shipyard, flag-state authority, port authority, or occupational safety regulator. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV, and ClassNK requirements may apply only when specifically required by the project.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Position the lift on a firm, level, load-bearing surface with adequate clearance from ship structure, dock edges, overhead obstructions, and energized equipment. Complete pre-use inspection, function testing, emergency-lowering checks, and operator authorization before use.
Maintenance Tips Follow the manufacturer's service schedule. Inspect tires, brakes, steering, hydraulic hoses, cylinders, platform controls, safety interlocks, alarms, emergency systems, batteries, and structural welds. Record periodic inspections and remove defective equipment from service.
Safety Notes Use only trained and authorized operators. Wear a full-body harness connected to the designated platform anchorage, observe rated capacity and wind limits, keep gates closed, and never use ladders or makeshift platforms inside the basket. Maintain safe separation from cranes, vessels, dock edges, and electrical hazards.
