Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Filter performance and compressed-air purity are commonly specified to ISO 8573-1 and ISO 12500. Pressure equipment compliance may require the applicable local pressure-vessel regulations or Pressure Equipment Directive for the housing.
Class Approval Individual compressor filter elements are not normally class-approved. Approval requirements, where applicable, depend on the complete compressed-air system and vessel classification rules of DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV or ClassNK.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm filter grade, connection size, pressure rating, temperature rating and flow direction against the compressor or air-treatment system manual. Isolate, depressurize and drain the housing before replacement. Fit the correct seals and avoid overtightening.
Maintenance Tips Replace elements at the manufacturer's recommended interval or when differential pressure reaches the specified limit. Drain condensate regularly, inspect seals and housing condition, and verify that automatic drains operate correctly.
Safety Notes Fully isolate and depressurize the filter before opening. Use only elements rated for the system pressure and compressed-air service. Do not bypass the filter or use damaged housings, and wear eye and hand protection when draining or servicing.
