Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Pump performance may be tested to ISO 9906. Dimensions and interchangeability can follow ISO 2858 for applicable centrifugal pumps. Engine-specific OEM requirements and material specifications also apply.
Class Approval Classification approval is generally dependent on the complete engine or cooling system. Applicable societies may include DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK; verify approval requirements with the vessel class and OEM.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm OEM part number, flow direction, pressure rating, temperature range, shaft rotation, seal type, and mounting dimensions. Install with clean pipework, correct gasket or O-ring, proper alignment, and adequate venting. Prime the pump where required before operation.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for leakage, abnormal noise, vibration, bearing wear, corrosion, and reduced coolant flow. Check seals and coupling alignment, clean strainers, maintain coolant concentration, and replace bearings or seal kits according to OEM intervals.
Safety Notes Isolate and lock out the pump and engine before maintenance. Allow coolant to cool, depressurize the circuit, and use suitable chemical-resistant PPE. Prevent coolant spills and dispose of used coolant according to vessel and environmental procedures.
