Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable standards may include ISO 3601 for O-rings, DIN 3760 for radial shaft seals, EN 1514 for flange gaskets, EN 12756 for mechanical seals and ASME B16.20 for metallic gaskets. The applicable standard depends on the seal type and equipment.
Class Approval Seals are not universally class-approved as a generic product. Type approval or acceptance may be required for specific machinery, piping systems, fire-safe service or critical applications by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, ClassNK or another relevant society.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify part number, dimensions, material compatibility, pressure, temperature and equipment-maker instructions. Clean sealing faces, remove old material without damage, lubricate compatible O-rings, install without twisting, and tighten fasteners to the specified sequence and torque.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for leakage, hardening, cracking, wear, extrusion and compression set during planned maintenance. Replace seals during major equipment overhauls or whenever removed, and store spares in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, ozone, heat and chemicals.
Safety Notes Isolate, depressurize, drain and cool equipment before opening any sealed system. Use chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection, verify absence of hazardous fluids, and never reuse damaged seals or substitute materials without engineering approval.
