Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements depend on the complete separator installation and vessel specification. Equipment may be supplied with manufacturer conformity documentation and marine type-approval certificates. ISO 8217 is relevant to marine fuel quality, not a centrifuge product standard.
Class Approval Marine installations may be accepted or type-approved by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, ClassNK or another vessel classification society, subject to the specific model, application, installation and certificate status.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Install on a rigid, level foundation with correct vibration isolation, piping support, electrical supply, heating, feed pressure and discharge arrangements. Confirm bowl rotation direction, operating water connections and clearances against the OEM manual. Use the correct gravity disc or operating configuration for the oil density.
Maintenance Tips Follow the maker's running-hour service schedule. Clean the bowl and disc stack, inspect bearings, seals, gaskets, friction pads, paring discs and lock-ring components, and replace worn parts with approved spares. Check vibration, leakage, operating temperature and discharge performance.
Safety Notes Isolate electrical power, shut off feed and heating, depressurize and allow the bowl to stop completely before opening. Hot oil and sludge can cause burns. Do not operate with damaged bowl parts, incorrect assembly, excessive vibration or bypassed safety interlocks.
