Air Compressor Gauges - Auxiliary Machinery and Engine Room

Pressure gauges used to monitor suction, interstage, discharge, lubricating-oil and cooling-water pressures on marine air compressors. Marine-duty gauges typically use vibration-resistant cases and may include liquid filling, pulsation dampers or safety-pattern construction.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Air Compressor Gauges for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Common governing standards include EN 837-1 for Bourdon-tube pressure gauges and ASME B40.100 for pressure-indicating instruments. Connection threads may follow ISO 228, ISO 7-1 or ASME B1.20.1, depending on the compressor installation.
Class Approval Acceptance is normally installation-, vessel- and model-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and ClassNK may require approved instrumentation or documented compliance for classed compressor systems; verify the selected gauge certificate and vessel rules.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select a pressure range that keeps normal operating pressure away from the scale limit. Match the process connection and pressure rating. Install a snubber, restrictor or pulsation damper where compressor pulsation is severe, and isolate the gauge before removal.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for leakage, corrosion, pointer instability, cracked windows and loss of filling liquid. Compare readings periodically with a calibrated reference and recalibrate or replace gauges that show excessive error, zero shift or mechanical damage.
Safety Notes Depressurize and isolate the line before installation or removal. Never use a gauge above its rated pressure or temperature. Use safety-pattern construction and suitable wetted materials where stored energy, vibration, corrosive media or pressure pulsation creates additional risk.
