Pump Impellers - Auxiliary Machinery and Engine Room

Pump impellers are rotating hydraulic components fitted to centrifugal pumps in ship engine rooms and auxiliary systems. They transfer mechanical energy to liquids for cooling, ballast, bilge, fire, seawater and general-service duties.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Pump Impellers for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Complete centrifugal pump assemblies may be designed or tested to ISO 5199, ISO 2858 and ISO 9906 where applicable. Impeller material and balancing requirements depend on the manufacturer, pump duty and purchase specification.
Class Approval DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas and ClassNK approval may apply to the complete pump assembly for classed services. A replacement impeller should retain the approved pump design, material, dimensions and manufacturer traceability.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify pump model, impeller diameter, material, rotation, shaft bore, keyway or thread, and casing clearance. Fit with specified locking hardware, check shaft runout and free rotation, and use manufacturer torque and clearance values.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for cavitation, erosion, corrosion, cracks, blocked passages and worn hubs or keyways. Check balance and clearances during overhaul. Replace severely damaged impellers and renew associated seals, gaskets or wear rings as required.
Safety Notes Isolate electrical power, apply lockout/tagout, close valves, drain and depressurize the pump before opening. Use suitable lifting and puller tools, wear PPE, and confirm correct rotation and priming before returning the pump to service.
