Purifier Seals - Auxiliary Machinery and Engine Room

Purifier seals are model-specific O-rings, gaskets, lip seals and sealing rings used in marine centrifugal oil purifiers. They prevent leakage and maintain separation efficiency in fuel-oil, lubricating-oil and diesel-oil treatment systems.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Purifier Seals for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Where specified, O-rings may follow ISO 3601 and elastomer designations may follow ISO 1629. Rotary shaft seals may follow ISO 6194. Actual material and dimensional compliance must be verified from the purifier OEM or seal supplier documentation.
Class Approval Purifier seals are normally consumable spare parts and are not individually class-approved. The complete purifier installation may be accepted or certified under DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK requirements. Use OEM-approved or documented equivalent seals where class rules apply.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Confirm purifier model, product number and serial number before ordering. Clean seal grooves, inspect mating surfaces, lubricate seals only with an OEM-approved medium and avoid twisting, stretching or damaging sealing lips during assembly.
Maintenance Tips Replace seals at OEM service intervals and whenever hardened, swollen, flattened, cracked or cut. Do not reuse disturbed critical seals. Store kits sealed, cool and dry, away from sunlight, ozone, heat and incompatible chemicals.
Safety Notes Stop, isolate and depressurize the purifier before dismantling. Allow hot oil and components to cool, verify complete bowl stoppage and follow lockout procedures. Use the correct elastomer because incompatible material can fail and release hot oil.
