Air Compressor Lubricators - Auxiliary Machinery and Engine Room

Compressed-air line lubricators meter a controlled oil mist into air supplying pneumatic tools and auxiliary equipment in ship engine rooms. They are installed downstream of the filter and regulator and are distinct from the compressor's internal crankcase lubrication system.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Air Compressor Lubricators for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Relevant references include ISO 6301-1 and ISO 6301-2 for compressed-air lubricators and ISO 4414 for pneumatic-system safety. Port threads may conform to ISO 7-1, ISO 228-1 or ASME B1.20.1, depending on the selected model.
Class Approval Compressed-air lubricators are not normally supplied with individual class approval. For essential marine systems, acceptance may be subject to vessel specifications and applicable DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK rules.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Install vertically downstream of the air filter and regulator, with airflow matching the body arrow. Select the correct pressure rating, port thread and flow capacity. Use only the lubricant specified by the equipment manufacturer.
Maintenance Tips Check oil level and drip rate regularly, drain upstream filters and inspect the bowl, seals and sight dome for leakage or damage. Refill with clean compatible oil and do not mix lubricant grades.
Safety Notes Isolate, depressurize and lock out the air supply before servicing. Do not use lubricated air for breathing-air systems, oxygen service or oil-free instrument and control systems. Replace cracked or chemically damaged bowls immediately.
