Cable Ties - Electrical, Lighting and Power
Marine cable ties secure and organize electrical, lighting, instrumentation, and power cables on ships and offshore installations. UV-stabilized nylon and stainless-steel versions are selected according to temperature, moisture, chemical exposure, fire-risk, and corrosion requirements.
ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Cable Ties for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval
Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.
| Applicable Standards & Certification | IEC 62275 and UL 62275 cover cable management systems, including relevant cable-tie performance requirements. Product-specific UL, RoHS, halogen-free, UV-resistance, temperature, and flammability declarations depend on the selected manufacturer and part number. |
|---|---|
| Class Approval | Cable ties do not have universal classification approval. Marine acceptance is product- and application-specific; where required, use manufacturer documentation or type-approved cable-management products accepted by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK. |
Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information
| Installation Notes | Select the material, length, width, tensile strength, and temperature rating for the cable bundle and environment. Install without crushing or sharply bending cables, use approved fixing points, and trim nylon tails flush with a suitable tool. Do not use ordinary nylon ties in exposed saltwater or high-temperature locations unless specifically rated. |
|---|---|
| Maintenance Tips | Inspect during planned maintenance for cracking, discoloration, corrosion, loosening, abrasion, and ultraviolet degradation. Replace damaged or degraded ties and verify that cable bundles remain supported without excessive compression. |
| Safety Notes | Isolate electrical circuits before working on cable bundles. Avoid sharp cut ends, over-tightening, and contact with hot surfaces or moving machinery. Use stainless-steel or fire- and heat-rated products where required by the vessel design, flag-state rules, or classification society. |
