Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Commonly manufactured and tested to EN ISO 3821 for rubber hoses for welding, cutting and allied processes. Product-specific conformity, gas compatibility, pressure rating, and marking must be verified from the manufacturer.
Class Approval Classification approval is not universal for cutting hoses. Where required by vessel specifications, verify product acceptance or type approval with DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or the vessel's nominated classification society.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Install only the hose type approved for the intended gas. Keep oxygen hoses free from oil and grease. Use compatible regulators, flashback arrestors, fittings, and hose clamps; avoid twisting, sharp bends, hot surfaces, and contact with welding sparks.
Maintenance Tips Inspect before each use for cuts, burns, abrasion, cracking, loose fittings, and gas leakage. Perform approved leak testing, keep hoses clean and capped during storage, and replace damaged or aged hoses rather than repairing them.
Safety Notes Use correct color and marking identification for each gas. Never interchange oxygen and fuel-gas hoses. Keep away from ignition sources and hot work, secure cylinders upright, and fit flashback arrestors where required. Depressurize before disconnecting.
