Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Mobile jacks are commonly designed and tested to EN 1494, which covers mobile or movable jacks. Applicable national requirements and manufacturer conformity documentation should be verified for the selected unit.
Class Approval Trolley jacks are generally workshop tools and are not normally supplied with separate DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, BV, or ClassNK type approval. Vessel-specific acceptance may require purchaser or class review.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes No permanent installation is normally required. Inspect the jack before use, place it on a firm level surface, center the load on the saddle, and use approved stands or blocking after lifting. Do not use the jack as the sole support.
Maintenance Tips Keep wheels, saddle, pump linkage, and release mechanism clean and lubricated as specified by the manufacturer. Check hydraulic oil level, inspect for leaks or damaged welds, and remove defective equipment from service. Store protected from seawater and corrosion.
Safety Notes Never exceed rated capacity or lift an unstable load. Chock wheels, keep personnel clear of suspended loads, and lower loads slowly. Use mechanical stands for support, wear suitable PPE, and follow the manufacturer's operating instructions.
