Grease Guns - General Stores, Hardware and Tools

Hand-operated and battery-powered grease guns are portable lubrication tools used aboard ships, in engine rooms, workshops, and deck machinery areas. They deliver grease through a flexible hose, rigid extension, or coupler to bearings, pins, bushings, and other grease points.

ProShipWorks provides end-to-end support to source and supply Grease Guns for marine vessels, ship operators, industrial facilities, maintenance teams and procurement departments.

Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Manual grease guns are commonly manufactured to general industrial requirements; DIN 1283 is a relevant standard for manually operated grease guns. Electrical or battery models may carry applicable regional electrical and battery safety conformity markings.
Class Approval Marine classification approval is normally not required for a portable grease gun used as a general stores tool. Any vessel-specific acceptance depends on the owner, shipyard, or classification survey requirements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes No permanent installation is normally required. Fill with the correct compatible grease cartridge or bulk grease, prime the pump, connect the hose and coupler securely, and clean the grease nipple before application.
Maintenance Tips Wipe the tool and coupler after use, prevent dirt and water entering the barrel, inspect hoses and seals, keep the plunger lubricated as specified, and store with the pressure released. Do not mix incompatible greases.
Safety Notes Wear eye protection and gloves. Never direct high-pressure grease at skin or people. Depressurize before disconnecting hoses, use the correct grease and pressure rating, and follow machinery lubrication instructions.
