Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Pressure gauges commonly reference EN 837. Electrical or digital gauges may require IEC standards and relevant EMC or marine environmental compliance. The applicable standard depends on gauge type, service, and installation.
Class Approval Class approval is application- and manufacturer-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK approval may apply to permanently installed gauges when required by the vessel specification.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify measuring range, process connection, thread form, pressure rating, temperature rating, and dial units before installation. Use a suitable seal and install an isolation valve where required. Do not apply torque through the instrument case.
Maintenance Tips Inspect for leakage, corrosion, damaged lenses, blocked connections, and pointer movement. Compare readings with a calibrated reference instrument and recalibrate or replace gauges that are inaccurate or damaged.
Safety Notes Isolate, depressurize, cool, and drain the system before removing a gauge. Use an instrument rated for the medium, pressure, temperature, vibration, and hazardous-area requirements. Wear appropriate PPE and never exceed the gauge maximum range.
