Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include EN 15011 for bridge and gantry cranes, EN 13157 for manually powered cranes, ASME B30.17 for gantry cranes, ASME B30.16 for overhead hoists, ISO 9927 for crane inspections, and local lifting-equipment regulations.
Class Approval Classification approval is not normally inherent for general stores gantry cranes. Where installed as shipboard lifting equipment, acceptance may require the applicable ship class, such as DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK, together with flag-state and manufacturer documentation.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify the deck or floor structural capacity, crane safe working load, travel clearance and maximum headroom before installation. Assemble according to the manufacturer's instructions, fit rated end stops and brakes, and carry out commissioning and load testing by competent personnel.
Maintenance Tips Inspect the frame, welds, wheels, brakes, hooks, shackles, chains, wire ropes and hoist controls regularly. Lubricate as specified, check fasteners and safety latches, record inspections, and remove the crane from service if deformation, cracking or abnormal operation is found.
Safety Notes Never exceed the marked safe working load or use the crane for side pulling, dragging or personnel lifting unless specifically designed and approved. Keep personnel clear of suspended loads, secure mobile wheels during lifting, and use only certified lifting accessories.
