Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Relevant requirements include ISO 5172 for gas welding equipment and blowpipes, ISO 5175-1 for gas welding safety devices where fitted, and applicable national requirements for gas hoses, regulators, cylinders, and flashback arrestors.
Class Approval Cutting torches are not normally individually class-approved. Onboard use should comply with the vessel's classification, flag-state, hot-work, gas-cylinder, and fire-safety procedures.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Connect the torch to compatible oxygen and fuel-gas regulators using correct hoses, fittings, non-return valves, and flashback arrestors. Fit the manufacturer-specified cutting tip and leak-test all connections before lighting.
Maintenance Tips Inspect hoses, valves, threads, seals, tips, and flashback arrestors before use. Clean tip orifices only with the correct tip cleaner, keep equipment dry and capped, and replace damaged or leaking components.
Safety Notes Use only in an authorized, ventilated hot-work area with a permit, fire watch, suitable PPE, and nearby extinguishing equipment. Keep cylinders secured and separated as required, check for gas leaks, and never use oil or grease on oxygen equipment.
