Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Pressure vessels may be manufactured to ASME Section VIII and applicable national pressure-equipment regulations, including the EU Pressure Equipment Directive where applicable. Surface-preparation work commonly references ISO 8501-1 and AMPP/SSPC standards. Certification depends on the specific equipment and jurisdiction.
Class Approval Blasting machines are not normally type-approved as complete equipment by marine classification societies. Pressure-vessel documentation or onboard use may require acceptance by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK according to vessel, flag and project requirements.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Place the blast machine on stable level ground. Connect correctly sized, clean and dry compressed-air lines, moisture separators, deadman control, blast hose, nozzle and grounding/bonding equipment. Verify pressure-vessel and hose ratings before operation.
Maintenance Tips Drain moisture regularly, inspect the vessel, valves, hoses, couplings and nozzle for wear, clean abrasive metering components, and replace damaged gaskets and safety devices. Follow the manufacturer's inspection and pressure-test intervals.
Safety Notes Use certified blast helmets, supplied-air respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, hearing protection and eye protection. Depressurize before servicing, control silica and abrasive dust, establish an exclusion zone, and never bypass the deadman control or safety relief valve.
