Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Caulking guns generally do not have a universal marine product standard. The applied sealant should comply with its specified standard, such as ISO 11600, ASTM C920, or EN 15651, where applicable.
Class Approval The tool itself normally does not require classification approval. Marine sealant systems or applications may require acceptance or approval from DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, or ClassNK depending on the vessel application.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Select the gun size and thrust ratio for the sealant viscosity and cartridge or foil-pack format. Cut the nozzle to the required bead size, puncture the sealant outlet, load the pack correctly, and apply to clean, dry, compatible surfaces.
Maintenance Tips Clean uncured sealant from the barrel, plunger, nozzle holder, and trigger after use. Keep the tool dry, inspect seals and plungers, lubricate pneumatic components as specified, and replace damaged parts.
Safety Notes Wear gloves and eye protection and follow the sealant safety data sheet. Provide ventilation when using solvent-containing products. Depressurize pneumatic guns before servicing and never point the nozzle toward people.
