Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Certification depends on the specific resin or coating system and its intended use. ISO 12944 may apply to protective coating systems on steel, while manufacturer technical data and applicable IMO or class requirements govern marine applications.
Class Approval Class approval is product- and application-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK approval may apply only where explicitly stated in the manufacturer's certificate or type-approval documentation.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Prepare the substrate by cleaning, degreasing, abrading, and drying it. Mix resin and catalyst strictly according to the manufacturer's technical data sheet. Observe pot life, temperature, humidity, film thickness, and recommended curing intervals. Use compatible rollers, brushes, or spray equipment.
Maintenance Tips Inspect periodically for blistering, cracking, delamination, discoloration, and water ingress. Clean with compatible products and repair damaged areas after proper preparation. Store unopened materials in a cool, dry, ventilated area within the stated shelf life.
Safety Notes Use ventilation and appropriate PPE, including chemical-resistant gloves, eye protection, protective clothing, and suitable respiratory protection. Polyester resin and catalyst are flammable and may release hazardous vapors. Keep catalyst away from heat, contamination, and incompatible chemicals; follow the safety data sheet.
