Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements depend on the coating system and service. ISO 12944 may be referenced for protective coating selection, while ISO 14692 can apply to qualifying GRP piping systems. Manufacturer technical data and project specifications govern suitability.
Class Approval Classification approval is normally project- and application-specific. DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas, and ClassNK may review or approve the complete coating or GRP system when required; a resin grade alone does not automatically have class approval.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Remove oil, salt, rust, loose coating, and contamination. Abrade or blast the substrate to the specified profile, ensure it is dry, and apply the compatible primer or laminate system. Mix resin, catalyst, and additives only in the manufacturer's stated proportions and within the usable pot life.
Maintenance Tips Inspect periodically for blistering, cracking, delamination, abrasion, and chemical attack. Repair damaged areas by cleaning, abrading, and recoating with a compatible vinyl ester system. Store unopened material in a cool, dry, ventilated location within its shelf life.
Safety Notes Use chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and suitable respiratory protection. Vinyl ester resin and peroxide catalysts are flammable and reactive; keep away from heat, sparks, contamination, and incompatible chemicals. Provide ventilation and follow the manufacturer's safety data sheet.
