Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable standards depend on hose service and construction, including SAE J517, ISO 18752, EN 853, EN 856, ISO 10380 and ISO 15540 where relevant. Marine fire-resistant hose assemblies may require IMO FTP Code testing and SOLAS compliance.
Class Approval Approval is product- and application-specific. Marine hose assemblies may require type approval or acceptance by DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK, particularly for essential, fire-resistant, fuel, seawater or engine-room services.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Verify hose bore, pressure, temperature, fluid compatibility, bend radius and connection type before installation. Confirm flow direction where applicable, prevent twisting, support long assemblies, and keep clear of hot surfaces, sharp edges and excessive abrasion. Pressure-test according to the manufacturer and vessel procedures.
Maintenance Tips Inspect periodically for abrasion, cracking, blistering, leakage, corrosion, loose fittings and excessive bending. Check clamps and supports without crushing the hose. Replace assemblies showing damage, contamination or exceeded service life, and maintain traceability of pressure-tested replacements.
Safety Notes Depressurize, drain and isolate the system before removal. Use hoses and fittings rated for the actual pressure, temperature and medium. Never exceed the assembly rating or use incompatible fluids. Protect personnel from hose whip, hot fluids, fuel spray and hydraulic injection hazards.
