Standards, Certifications & Class Approval

Review the available standards and approval information relevant to the product. Actual certification, material traceability, inspection and classification requirements depend on the product type, intended application and purchasing specification.

Applicable Standards & Certification Applicable requirements may include SOLAS, ILO Convention No. 152, ISO 4301-1 crane classification, ISO 9927 inspection requirements and EN 13852-1 for qualifying offshore cranes. Exact standards depend on crane duty, vessel flag, location and contract.
Class Approval Design review, certification and load testing may be provided under DNV, ABS, Lloyd's Register, Bureau Veritas or ClassNK rules. Approval is crane-, vessel- and project-specific and should not be assumed without valid class documentation.

Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Mount the pedestal on a class-approved, reinforced deck foundation. Verify alignment, fastener preload, hydraulic and electrical connections, slew clearance and safe working radius. Complete commissioning, overload protection checks and witnessed proof-load testing as required.
Maintenance Tips Follow the manufacturer schedule. Inspect wire ropes, sheaves, hooks, brakes, pins, bearings, cylinders, hoses and pedestal fasteners. Lubricate specified points, monitor hydraulic oil condition, remove corrosion and periodically test limit switches and safety devices.
Safety Notes Operate only by trained personnel within the rated load chart and permitted sea-state limits. Confirm outriggers or vessel stability where applicable, establish an exclusion zone, use approved rigging and never bypass overload, limit or emergency-stop systems.
