Installation, Maintenance & Safety Information

Installation Notes Secure ladders only to designated strong points using approved shackles, ropes or fittings. Keep steps horizontal, provide unobstructed access and rig pilot ladders strictly to SOLAS requirements. Verify required length and freeboard before deployment.
Maintenance Tips Inspect steps, ropes, spreaders, welds, fasteners and non-slip surfaces before use. Remove salt deposits, dry rope ladders before storage and protect them from chemicals, sunlight and mechanical damage. Replace damaged components or complete ladders according to maker instructions.
Safety Notes Do not use a ladder with cracked steps, damaged ropes, severe corrosion or loose fittings. Observe rated loading, use fall protection where required and prevent personnel from standing beneath deployed ladders. Pilot ladders must not be secured to deck fittings not intended for that purpose.
